84th HLM congress in Montpellier: the program for this Wednesday, September 25

The first traveling congress in France, the HLM Congress brings together the managers of 566 social housing organizations that produce more than 120,000 housing units each year in France. Midi Libre – Jean-Michel Mart

From Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 September, the 84th HLM Congress will take place at the Montpellier exhibition center, route de la Foire in Pérols, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Find the program for this Wednesday 25 September 2024.

Plenary sessions

9 h 30 – 11:00 a.m.: "Urban renewal: accelerating… and continue ?". A large part of the NPNRU projects is still far from being completed. What are the achievements and the obstacles remaining to be overcome? ? What conditions must be met to ensure that these projects reach their conclusion and that the objectives pursued are achieved?

11 h & ndash; 12h15: “Ecological transition: regulate or innovate”?”. The alliance between innovation and regulation can be the keystone of the ecological transition. However, it is necessary to anticipate certain contradictions: maturity of technical solutions, place of low-tech/low-cost, use of local industrial sectors… Can regulation sustainably generate innovation??

14 h 30 – 16 hours: “New needs, new offers”. The French population is changing, as are its housing needs: aging of the population, reduction in household size, accelerated family restructuring and increase in the number of single-parent families… These demographic changes, changes in lifestyles and household expectations have an impact on housing needs and in particular on the demand for social housing. How can we respond comprehensively and coherently to these multiple and increasingly pressing needs ?

16 h – 5 p.m.: presentation and presentation of the HLM 2024 Innovation Trophies. Low-carbon innovation, local impact, service and quality of life, building life cycle and managerial innovation. Presentation in 180 seconds of the selected projects and presentation of the Trophies with the partners.
