The first 4-star hotel in Sète will rather see the light of day at the end of 2026, on the Corniche

Racheté par le groupe hôtelier Arrelia, l’hôtel La Conga, qui doit devenir le premier hôtel 4 étoiles de Sète, rouvrira fin 2026 plutôt que fin 2025.

The first 4-star hotel in Sète, which is due to open in place of the old La Conga hotel on the Corniche, is going to be a little delayed. The construction site, which was supposed to start at the end of 2023, has not yet been launched.

The Montpellier hotel group Arrelia, which acquired the old establishment, is like many others faced with rising raw material prices. “We were hoping for an earlier delivery, concedes Matthieu Blanc, the group's founding president. But construction costs have increased significantly and we need to find new economic balances. The project is progressing well. It will come out of the ground. But it will probably be a year late."

65 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a rooftop

If the private beach Les pieds dans le sable (*) which has obtained a ten-year operating concession from the City of Sète, has been open since the summer of 2023, we will have to wait for the new hotel located on the other side of the road to emerge from the ground. Entrusted to the Sète architectural firms OBArchitecture and NYM architecture, located at 41 quai de Bosc, the future establishment would include 65 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, three meeting rooms and a rooftop.

It therefore has the ambition to obtain a 4-star classification, which would make it the very first on the singular island, in a privileged location, on the edge of the Big Blue. The La Conga hotel, on the other hand, only had two.
