The Guinean full-back is expected to make his comeback on Saturday in Monaco during the 6th day of Ligue 1. Injured in a thigh, the young striker is out for several weeks.

A defender comes in, a striker comes out. Winger Yanis Issoufou, starting for the first time on Sunday against Auxerre (3-2), is suffering from a tear in his right thigh. This young lanky guy (1.82m, 58kg), “tense with the stakes”, was injured in the 27th minute before being replaced by Tanguy Coulibaly.

Tests carried out on Tuesday afternoon confirmed the clinical diagnosis and an absence estimated at five or six weeks. The U19 international, who will turn 18 on October 28, is preparing to miss several major matches, including the trip to Monaco on Saturday September 28 (9 p.m.) during the 6th day of Ligue 1.

The defense is doing better

Conversely, coach Michel Der Zakarian is getting another defender back. A week after Lucas Mincarelli returned to competition, having recovered from a sprained knee, Guinean left-back Issiaga Sylla resumed training with the squad on Monday. “It's a bit tough for him, because he hasn't played for a while”, sighs Der Zak.

Injured just before the resumption of the championship, the Guinean international (30 years old) relapsed at the end of August after ten minutes of play against Nantes.

With the return of the central defender "Kiki" Kouyaté, at the end of the match against the Burgundians, and the two left-backs, the defense is gradually finding its strength again.

Chotard at the start of the week

"Today, we are helpless on the offensive side", notes Der Zak who should rely on the same team in Monaco. Mousa Tamari, injured on September 5th with the Jordanian selection, is nursing a serious ankle sprain, the young Othmane Maamma, injured in a thigh, must wait three weeks and the international break to play again and Axel Guéguin, operated on a knee in February, will have to go back to the “reserve” box before making his comeback.

Finally, midfielder Joris Chotard, who is intensifying his work, is expected to be back in the squad early next week. Having recovered from a soleus (calf) injury, he could return to the midfield for the trip to Reims. A midfield where competition promises to be fierce to play alongside Téji Savanier.
