'He was woken up': Truck driver locks three men who were siphoning his tank into his trailer

Un chauffeur routier a été réveillé en pleine nuit, alors qu’il dormait dans son camion, par trois individus qui étaient en train de lui siphonner le réservoir à carburant.

It was an unexpected reaction, which probably made the work of the police in Saint-Herblain near Nantes much easier. A truck driver, who was sleeping on the side of the road in his vehicle, was woken up by individuals who came to siphon off his tank on Tuesday, October 1, reports Ouest France.

Three individuals arrested

A source close to the case says: “The driver was sleeping in the cabin when he was woken up. He then locked the three men in his trailer.

The road transport professional's reflex was to place the three people who had come to steal his fuel in the trailer of the heavy goods vehicle. He then notified the police, who were able to arrest them. Two adults aged 19 and 23, as well as a minor aged 17, were thus taken into custody and eight cans of petrol, found not far from the vehicle, were able to be returned to the driver.
