Accident on the A9 between Nîmes and Montpellier: three passengers in a car injured and a driver flees

On the night of Saturday to Sunday, October 6, 2024, about twenty firefighters rescued the victims of a collision between two vehicles on the A9 in the direction of Nîmes-Montpellier, in Gallargues. The driver of the vehicle in question fled the scene.

Three passengers in a car were slightly injured in a collision on the A9 (Nîmes-Montpellier) in Gallargues on the night of Saturday to Sunday, October 6, 2024 at around 3:30 a.m. They were transported by emergency services to the Carémeau Hospital Center in Nîmes. And the driver of the car apparently fled.

Traffic interrupted

The five occupants of the vehicle that was hit from behind were unharmed, according to the Sdis (Gard departmental fire and rescue service).

Around twenty firefighters were involved in this rescue operation and traffic was interrupted on the A9 on the three lanes in the Nîmes-Montpellier direction.
