Artificial Intelligence in Alès: how it works ?

Ce jeudi 17 octobre, au Capitole, l'Académie Cévenole fait sa rentrée publique, avec une communication sur l'Intelligence Artificielle.

This Thursday, at 6 p.m., in the municipal hall of the Capitole, in Alès, it is the public return of the Académie Cévenole. After the reminder of the various academic facts of the past year, the floor will return to the guest speaker. Originally, it was to be the former Rector and historian Philippe Joutard who canceled his attendance for health reasons. He is replaced by Benoît Sarton, a business leader and computer scientist who will address the subject: Artificial Intelligence: How Does It Work?

This process of imitating human intelligence, which is based on the creation and application of algorithms executed in a dynamic computer environment, is a matter of concern to many of our contemporaries today. Moreover, Benoît Sarton provides some clarifications: ” In the tradition of the Académie Cévenole, we will take a step back in history to remind you that the quest for artificial intelligence is not new. Using demonstrations and simple examples, we will illustrate the main concepts at work in most current models. And to answer the many questions we all ask ourselves, we will not hesitate to ask the opinion of… an artificial intelligence. With humor and circumspection, which are still the hallmarks of humans."
