A cat remains stuck for a week in a party wall: a mason breaks two concrete blocks and rescues the animal alive

Le 29 avril 2024, une chatte a chuté entre deux murs alors qu’elle essayait de capturer un lézard. Elle a été sauvée une semaine plus tard après avoir détruit les deux parpaings.

A cat, named Perle, remained stuck in a wall for a week before being freed and saved, reports the association for the defense of rights Stéphane Lamart& ;nbsp;in a press release Tuesday May 7, cited by BFMTV.< /p>

The feline fell into a common wall, between two houses, on April 29, 2024 while trying to capture a lizard. It took two days for the neighborhood and the owner to succeed in locating it, but without succeeding in recovering it since the place was unreachable with bare hands.

"The owner of one of the walls had agreed to break two concrete blocks in his garage in order to free Perle but the residents did not know not how to go about it and therefore decided to call on animal protection associations including the Stéphane Lamart association", explains the latter.

Released six days later

Sunday May 5, a mason broke the two concrete blocks to free the animal, six days after the fall. A task which was delicate and involved aiming precisely so as not to injure the animal and to limit the damage.

The intervention costs will be covered by the Stéphane Lamart association which reminds us that it is "necessary that the owners provide an anti-rodent grid to prevent animals from infiltrating between two shared walls".

Today, Pearl is doing much better and "requires lots of caresses from her owner" .
