Raphaël and Michaël, two first names that have never rhymed so much. This Saturday, Place du Numéro-d’Or, the mayor of Montpellier and the head of the socialist list for the European elections met, and found their audience. Around 800 people came to listen and applaud the many activists, Michaël Delafosse and, of course, Raphaël Glucksmann. With a hammered message: "Wake up Europe". It was said, retold and written. And an officially declared enemy: the extreme right, leading the polls for these June 9 elections.
"We will resist"
"We will resist, we will be there to hold on", insisted the socialist leader. "We must make Europe a sovereign power, a social power, an ecological power."
