A complaint filed against Fabrikus World, in Vias

Three adults filed a complaint for injuries and endangering others against Fabrikus World, the amusement park in Vias, on August 5 at the Marseillan gendarmerie.

The cause: the Rio Bravo, a large buoy that goes down a river (30 cm of water). On Sunday evening, August 4, the three adults accompanied by their four young children began their journey. When suddenly the buoy capsized. Some, including children, were apparently trapped underneath.

After some effort, the adults managed to free themselves and retrieve the children. According to them, the weight was poorly distributed. The three adults were slightly injured. They went the next day to the Champeau clinic in Béziers to have their “injuries” (neck pain, back pain, hand pain, scratches, etc.).

The attraction was allowed to reopen the next day

Pascal Fliche, the general manager of Fabrikus World, indicated on Tuesday, August 6, “to be surprised, not to be aware of the complaint. Of course, there was the incident. But the family was very nice afterwards. We followed all the necessary procedures. The firefighters and the police were called. They made their findings. There was no excess weight, nor any technical problem. The police made their report, sent it to the prosecutor. The authorization to reopen the Rio Bravo was given to us the very next day, at 5 p.m. (Monday)."

The complaint, after investigation by the competent unit, will be transmitted to the public prosecutor at the Béziers court who will decide what to do next.
