Stéphanie Cauzit, Hérault activist with the Insoumis, is on the party list for the European elections on June 9. Although in an ineligible position, she intends to campaign in Montpellier.
"Pride". The word was on everyone's lips this Saturday, March 23, at the time of presenting the Hérault candidate on the list of France Insoumise led by Manon Aubry in the European elections. The three rebellious deputies Nathalie Oziol, Sylvain Carrière and Sébastien Rome surrounded the candidate – in 49th position on the list, an honorary place – when presenting himself to the press.
Kick off of the European campaign
The mayor of Grabels, rebel from the start, and the Parisian MP Danièle Obono were also present on the Place de l’Europe. An emblematic site to kick off the list campaign led by Manon Aubry. Already head of the list in 2019, she had collected 6.31% of the votes. With a little more than two months to go before the deadline, the candidates believe in it unwaveringly. Even if they do not have harsh enough words against their Nupes partners who prefer to go it alone. But no doubt for Sylvain Carrière: "If you want to vote for the ideas of Nupes, there is only one ballot to vote for. choose. Bardella in the lead and Renaissance behind, it's not inevitable. Same story with René Revol who also calls for & quot;fight the austerity cure planned by Emmanuel Macron to meet the demands of Europe". Sébastien Rome speaks of "ecological transition, protection of workers" when Danièle Obono invokes "LFI's ability to change the balance of power".
Who is Stéphanie Cauzit ?
Everyone has nothing but compliments about "their" candidate Stéphanie Cauzit. "A fierce activist" as she describes herself, aged 50 and mother of three children. This interviewer for a private company insists that she does not have a diploma. Arriving in Hérault in 2019, Stéphanie Cauzit explains that she is fighting "against injustice and inequalities". "Very sensitive to working conditions", she denounces the "breakdown of the public service, the closure of beds in hospitals…" And to quote Louise Michel to conclude her speech. Voters have two months to choose. "And until May 3 to register on the electoral lists", recalls the MP Nathalie Oziol.
