This Wednesday, May 29, three young Italian soldiers died in the Alps, in the town of Val Masino (Italy). They were on a training exercise with two other men, who emerged unscathed from the accident.

Three young Italians, members of the financial police, fell into a precipice, according to the newspaperIl Corriere della Sera, notably taken up by our colleagues from France 3.

Two helicopters mobilized

The young men, aged 23, 26 and 33, were on the rise, on the border of the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The two other soldiers who were climbing with them escaped the accident unhurt.

Also according to the Italian daily, two helicopters came to the aid of the victims, who had already died upon their arrival. Italian Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said he shared "the pain of the families" victims.
