A heavy goods vehicle enters the Comédie tunnel on the tram rails in Montpellier: traffic on lines 1 and 2 at a standstill

La circulation des tramways est à l'arrêt : un poids lourd s'est engagé dans le tunnel de la Comédie et a touché les installations électriques. Le secteur est bloqué. 

A Spanish heavy goods vehicle entered the tram tracks on the Place de la Comédie at midday. He did not realize that traffic there is not only prohibited but dangerous. Arriving at the entrance to the tunnel, its trailer hit the overhead installations and created an electric arc, explains a police officer present on the scene. 

In front of stunned Montpellier residents, the driver managed a nice reverse alongside two trams, one of which was in a bend…. A maneuver far from obvious but succeeded brilliantly. The proof in pictures.
