As part of the first edition of the Nîmes co-ownership fair, Thursday February 29, at the Musée de la Romanité, Nîmes Ludovic Tourdiat, regional president of UNIS Occitanie, obtained & ;quot;several victories for the co-owners.

Indeed, during this event which brought together 800 participants, well beyond the objectives, discussions with Franck Proust, president of Nîmes Métropole, and Géraldine Rey-Deschamps, vice-president of the & #39;Agglo delegated for housing and urban renewal, were successful on the issue of House of Housing and Energy.

A project which is part of the approach of the Occitanie Region which wishes to be the first in Europe with positive energy.

Financial aid for renovating

With the creation of the public regional structure Rénov'Occitanie, an information, advice and guidance service, several one-stop shops have been opened. Nîmes would in fact be inspired by the Maison de l’Habitat in Narbonne.

To open this place, the Agglo Nîmes Métropole could thus benefit from funding from the national Anah organization which allows it to improve its housing . "Franck Proust confirmed to me that there will indeed be the opening of a Maison de l' Nîmes in 2025 to answer citizens' questions on how to live better, on the thermal improvement of housing, on saving water consumption", announces Ludovic Tourdiat.

Next week, the representatives of the Agglo will already look into the different places that could house this Housing Center.

Moreover, like what the metropolis of Montpellier has put in place, the Agglo de Nîmes wishes to set up a system of # financial aid (up to €2,600 per inhabitant) so that co-owners can carry out energy renovations to their homes. Nîmes Métropole intends to provide funding to support the co-owners.
