A political return for the resumption of activity of Gard companies

This Thursday, the president of Alès Agglo, Christophe Rivenq will be the guest of the entrepreneurs.

“We will have a political return, warns Jean-Pierre De Faria, president of the Gard enterprises network, since the lack of visibility after weeks without a government weighs on businesses. Several warning signals indicate a risk of a decline in investment activity. This is one of the reasons for the presence of Christophe Rivenq, president of Alès Agglo, our guest at this back-to-school period. He is an elected official who pays particular attention to the support and economic development of our territory."

The political crisis has not been good for businesses

For business leaders, the economic return to school is set for this Thursday, September 12, at 8:30 a.m., at the Digit’Alès offices.

"This event is open to all businesses, traders, artisans, and liberal professions. We will take advantage of this moment to take stock of the situation since the political crisis has finally passed, and to provide the prospects for economic development in the Alès basin and the Cévennes."

For the Gard Entreprises network, created in 2016, this event is always an important moment. Without revealing the content of the initiatives that will be debated during the meeting, Jean-Pierre De Faria explains: “We already have 130 business leaders who have registered. Our network, made up of more than 400 members, positions itself as one of the major economic players in the department. Our association must make proposals that match the strengths that constitute it, both in action and in influence. It is now essential to define a real strategic deployment policy. The opinions and feelings of the nationals are fundamental."

The association “Un autre reGard”, the female version of Gard entreprises, is also making its return. "With more than 100 million euros in turnover and nearly 400 employees, this association can be considered a heavyweight in the local economy. This circle reminds us that being a business leader is not a question of gender or chance. It is above all the choice of ambition, a taste for challenge and a strong capacity for work."

Today, this association works, in particular, on diversity by promoting female entrepreneurship, develops a charter of parenthood in companies…
