A prize pool to save a horse from the Ecuries d’or, in Villeneuve-lès-Béziers

Last March 6, Coralie Canovas, manager of the Ecuries d’Or in Villeneuve-lès-Béziers, came to feed her horse Lanthane de Dugny, a French saddle that she has in "entrustment" since November 1, 2023. She then discovers that the animal, injured, can only pose one hind limb. The veterinarian discovers an abscess at the tip of the hock, full of pus. Antibiotics will not be enough, we will have to operate to save the horse, which requires raising 5,000 euros for a week of hospitalization in Toulouse.

"That's where we came up with the idea for the prize pool, explains Marjorie Toulemonde, an Agathoise who also has a horse at Écuries d’Or. When a horse is placed in care, the stable can use it to participate in competitions, in exchange for covering current maintenance costs . In the case of this operation, we are beyond the current costs… But the owner has financial problems, she can't pay."

Only solution: find money. Thanks to the horse owners of the stable, and a leetchi kitty, 1 € 1  have already been raised. " This will allow us to bring the horse to Toulouse, welcomes Marjorie Toulemonde. But we still need  ;rsquo;help to cover all medical costs. The prize pool remains open! "
