After the mildness of this weekend, time for a stormy disturbance, in the wind before a spectacular rise in temperatures in the Gard according to Météo France.

The mildness has settled in well for this first weekend of April in the Gard with up to 24°C in Nîmes (26°C felt ), 23°C in Uzès, in Alès, 25°C in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, 22°C in Vauvert, and 20°C on the Vigan side as well as in Grau -du-Roi (24°C felt by the sea).

After a wet month of March, these mild temperatures, despite a hazy sky, can be explained by the presence of an Atlantic disturbance in the north of France. Within Météo France, in Aix-en-Provence, meteorologists share their knowledge on this phenomenon: "Due to its counterclockwise rotation, this disturbance causes a flow from the southwest, which, reinforced by an anticyclone positioned on the eastern Mediterranean, advects us a gentle air mass coming from North Africa." Météo France had predicted the highest temperatures for this Sunday.

Thundershowers

But things will get worse during the night of Monday 8 to Tuesday April 9 with, that day, stormy showers when a large part of the Gardois woke up. For the time being, Météo France has not issued an alert. Tuesday morning will not be the time to forget your laundry outside! In Nîmes, Alès, Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Vauvert, temperatures will not exceed 11°C in the morning. The maximums will oscillate between 10°C and 16°C, from Vigan to Sommières, with also 15°C in the Gard prefecture.

But this less clement weather will not last. On the contrary, it is the heat that will be there, from Friday April 12, and for the next summer weekend if we are to believe the forecasts from Météo France with, as a bonus, sunshine.

Until 29°C next weekend ?

The maximum ? From 25° at 27°C (for Nîmes) Friday and even up to 28-29°C Saturday. Enough to enjoy the beach for some but not yet enough to swim because, according to meteorologists, the water in the Mediterranean does not currently exceed 15 degrees.

This return of heat is however to be confirmed, as are the gusts of wind because it will also blow very strongly, particularly in the middle of the week, with peaks expected in Nîmes at 75 km/h and ;nbsp;at 80 km/h in Bagnols-sur-Cèze Wednesday April 10.

Finally, according to Atmo, the air quality for this Monday, April 8 will be degraded.
