Alès: a world soup competition, this Saturday, in the Alès Cazot space

Ce samedi, à 19 h, dans l'espace Alès Cazot, le 13e concours de soupes va faire saliver les candidats.

Like last year, the Burkin’Alès association is organizing this Saturday, January 20, at 7 p.m., in the Alès-Cazot space, a 13th soup competition of the world for the benefit of the young people of Burkina Faso. Entrance fees are collected by an association in Burkina, similar to that of Alès, which distributes the money to finance the education of around fifty young people who, after them, will come helping other young people, as part of a chain of solidarity.

On site in Alès, its facilitator, the Franciscan nun Pierre Marie Mons provides some details: "For this Saturday, we have around fifteen registrations from individuals in our association, but also from Secours Catholique and various associations. They will offer soups from culinary traditions from around the world such as those of Mauritius, Morocco, Hungary… Each participant will taste the different soups and competition and will indicate on their entry ticket which ones they prefer." And after counting the tickets, the cooks of the three best soups will receive a diploma of The gold, silver or bronze ladle.
