Amateur rugby: objective accomplished for Servian-Boujan who validates his rise to Federal 2 after dismissing Arcangues

After a short defeat in the Basque Country, in the first leg (16-14), the SBR players held their place, at home, during the return match, this Sunday afternoon (23-13). They won their ticket for the round of 16 of Fédérale 3 and validated the promotion to Fédérale 2.

The fifteen agreement holders achieved the objective set, namely the rise to Federal 2 by overcoming a valiant Basque formation which tackled with all their might throughout the game. The men of the Aguilera-Rochet-Bousquet trio will face the Landais of Mugron in the round of 16. The locals confirmed their territorial domination at the start of the match with a penalty from Camacho (3-0.7). Arcangues equalized ten minutes later with a penalty from his back and scorer Bainçonau (3-3, 17th).

A big first half then management

The SBR XV will make the difference before the break and will score two tries, the first by the third line center Munoz at the conclusion of a breakthrough by captain Amigo. Camacho ensures the transformation (10-3, 22nd); the second before the lemons by the winger Dubief following an interception by the experienced opener Cabrol which Camacho transforms (17-3, 39th).

Four minutes after the restart, the Basques reduced the gap with a try at the end of the line from the Azpeitia center transformed by Bainçonau (17-10, 44th). At the hour mark, Camacho converted a penalty (20-10). Bainçonnau responds (20-13, 64th). Camacho ensures qualification as well as the entry ticket with a new penalty (23-13, 68th).
