Ludovic, salarié depuis près de huit ans au sein du magasin Action de Nogent-sur-Oise, a été licencié fin mars après avoir mangé des mini-saucisses sans les payer.

Ludovic, an employee for almost eight years at Action, was fired for having eaten a packet of mini-sausages, without going to the checkout and without badgering during his break time, reveals the journal L’Humanité in its April 18 edition. "Your actions caused the Action store in Nogent-sur-Oise a loss of 5.48 euros", specifies the letter from dismissal.

A little hungry

This Friday, February 9th afternoon, Ludovic was a little hungry:"I grabbed a can, a packet of cakes and some mini sausages from the shelf, and went to my office to eat them. As there were people at the checkout, I told myself that I would pay later, but I forgot to do it that same evening, when closing the checkout", explains Ludovic, who rose through the ranks from part-time employee to assistant store manager. It would be the security agent who informed management.

The man waited until the following Monday to pay his bill, but he forgot the mini-sausages. The discount brand therefore decided to summon him for a disciplinary interview before dismissing him for "real and serious cause".& nbsp;"They criticized me for not having paid before consuming, as is the procedure", deplores the&rsquo ;man who thought he had a simple warning.

He would have "a folder"

The fifty-year-old admits to having made "a mistake". "I should have paid at the time, but that didn't deserve dismissal", he believes. Questioned by Le Parisien, the regional director of Action, Mabrouk Nekhouf explained that Ludovic would have "a file" and that the latter "knows very well that it’is not only that" .
