This Wednesday, January 31, 2024, psychoanalyst Gérard Miller is accused of rape and sexual assault by several women in an investigation published by the magazine Elle. The latter responded a few hours later.

In a magazine investigation Elle, several women claim to have been raped or sexually assaulted by the famous psychoanalyst, particularly during sessions where they were under hypnosis. On the same day as these revelations, Laurent Ruquier's former columnist responded and denied in a press release sent to BFMTV.

"An unequal relationship"

While in turmoil, Gérard Miller must face several serious charges. However, the psychoanalyst assures that "there has never been anything that could be described as sexual assault or, worse, rape".

"Specifically regarding the women who blame me, if something displeased them when they were with me, I don&rsquo I have no hesitation in affirming this: nothing that I perceived indicated to me that they wanted to put an end to the situation, because otherwise at the very moment I ;rsquo;would have put an end to it", he said in the press release.

If he denies, the person concerned nevertheless recognizes "an unequal relationship" in these relationships. "I know that since the start of the #Metoo movement, essential words have emerged, which call into question the way relationships men-women are constituted in our society, on the basis of incontestable male domination", he explained.

Gérard Miller strongly contests

Gérard Miller, 75, had already contested the accusations and posted a message on published: "Two journalists from Elles magazine informed me, without giving me details, that they were going to publish an article seriously questioning me. As soon as I become aware of the article, I will react as soon as possible here."

He also firmly contested the facts by explaining to the magazine Elle n’ have "never sexually abused anyone, under any circumstances".

Facts that go back

One of the accusers is the journalist and author Muriel Cousin. She describes being the victim of touching by the psychoanalyst during a session where she was under hypnosis when she was 23 in 1990. She describes the session and the voice of Gérard Miller telling her ' ;quot;Do you feel the heat ?".

Before declaring: "Suddenly, something in my brain brought me out of torpor. I told myself that something unusual was happening. He was touching my breasts under my sweater. I also felt his hand pass over my penis, over the pants."

She admits not having filed a complaint at the time of the incident, thinking that it was not happening.
