“Anger of the farmers”: lines of trucks paralyzing the main access points to Bagnols-sur-Cèze

The anger of farmers has had significant repercussions on road traffic in Bagnols-sur-Cèze intra muros. Between the central city of Rhone Gard and Avignon, the travel time has sometimes been multiplied by three. The traffic disruption impacted local businesses.

Same blockage at the Europe roundabout.

The market follows its normal course

This major traffic axis of the central city of Rhône Gard was the scene of a veritable “snail ballet” of heavy goods vehicles and other semi-trailers. On the Allée Théodore Lacombe, promenade of the traditional Wednesday market, life nevertheless followed its normal course. Raphaël, seller of the Pretzel d'Alzace, will therefore not have suffered any repercussions. "At the time we arrived on the market the trucks weren't there yet." This clothing merchant didn't have anything to complain about either: "We arrived in Bagnols- sur-Cèze by taking the Caderousse road", he explains.

"We didn't have anyone this morning" deplores  the florist Matthieu Coulange Apparently they blocked the highway in Remoulins he supposes. For the Weldom and Boulanger brands, this disruption to road traffic impacted the morning of both businesses. Antoine Lucca is the manager of the two DIY decoration and household appliances windows. "We had problems accessing our stores because of the lines of trucks that were clogging up various entry points into the city. This was felt in attendance. We had fewer customers."  Florist Matthieu Coulange doesn't hold it against the farmers. "I understand them. They are people who work."
