Arthur Cazaux easily won against the Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta (6-1, 6-3, 6-3) in the first round of the US Open in New York on Monday, August 26, reaching the second round for the first time in his career.

The Montpellier player had warned him. Before this US Open, he felt ready. And despite a somewhat disrupted summer with the search for a new staff, Arthur Cazaux proved his good form for his entry into the competition in the last Grand Slam tournament this season.

Thanks to his seven break points out of nine obtained, the Montpellier player was therefore never really worried by Carreno Busta. Except perhaps in the third set where he lost his serve twice, before breaking again each time.
