At the Inkarnation salon in Sète, tattoos to restore confidence in patients affected by cancer

Anthony et Marion dans le salon Inkarnation, du 9, rue Henri-Barbusse à Sète.

Dans ce salon de Sète, Marion tatoue des aréoles mammaires en 3D à des patients touchés par le cancer.

Marion, 28 years old, radiology technician, passionate about drawing, has chosen to put her talent at the service of people affected by the disease by specializing in 3D tattooing of breast areolas. Trained specifically to reshape nipples after a mastectomy, she offers her services two and a half days a week in a tattoo parlor in Sète. Her caring and artistic approach aims to restore confidence in her clients.

A deep commitment to restorative art

"Being a radio manipulator, I know the entire journey of men and women facing illness, confides Marion. There are also many men who are affected by breast cancer. Even semi-permanent eyebrow makeup is not only an aesthetic art, it is also a comfort in preventing their loss during chemotherapy. This is what sets us apart from other tattoo parlors."

Despite her commitment to tattooing, Marion does not want to leave medical imaging. She wants to deepen the help she can provide to people wishing to regain a new appearance after a life ordeal. By collaborating with Anthony, they offer, in their living room, together, a space of rebirth and support, transforming lives through their expertise and kindness. "We would like to change this vision of tattoo with Anthony, declares Marion. It’s a restorative tattoo that helps with psychological healing. The fact that I have been confronted with illness since 2017 in medical imaging made me want to do more.  Anthony continues to offer tattooing as he did before, but our association brings a new identity to the salon", adds Marion.

A new start for the show

The latter, open since last month, has become a space of rebirth and support for those seeking to rebuild themselves, physically and morally. A small space cocooning around a hot drink is provided to take the time to chat. The nipple tattooing process involves a first session, a touch-up a month later, then annual adjustments depending on the evolution of the pigment. "It’is painless because that it’s scar tissue and we prick on the surface, not deep as for a permanent tattoo", explains Marion.
