The audience at the Nîmes theater was seduced by the generous show anchored in tradition by the dancer Lucía Álvarez.

The first week of the Flamenco festival ended Sunday evening at the Bernadette-Lafont theater with the success of the dancer and choreographer Lucía álvarez La Piñona, who made part of the audience stand up with her show "Insaciable".

Insatiable, she certainly is, with boundless energy and carnal passion. Quite unclassifiable on the current scene, it is revealed with this creation presented in 2022 at the Seville Biennale.

Very close to her dancer Jonatan Miró, she gives herself up entirely, explosive and sincere, generous and sensual.

A show around the passion of flamenco and desire.

Lucía álvarez began her career in the tablaos, she kept the memory and learned the lessons. Without decoration, without artifice, accompanied by three singers and a guitarist, she dances as she confesses, refusing all limits.

Frontally, La Piñona evokes love, the couple, desire, fears, abandonment, refusals, expectations, the body, the senses. But also the party that is flamenco and which can suddenly overflow and delight even with a kitsch air of electro rumba. And it is these moments that fortunately color with an offbeat touch his art, very anchored in tradition, even the evocations of bullfighting.
