It is not only rue du Mas de Portaly that waste deposits pose a problem. This is also the case on the D132, a stone's throw from Mas de Saporta where the AOC Languedoc is based.

This is a phenomenon which has gained momentum with the opening of the A709 and the relocation of the A9. Not or very little used, the departmental road 132 which connects the Paul-Bret roundabout in Montpellier to the Saporta farmhouse in Lattes has become a particularly degraded route due to the increase in illegal dumping.

Heaps of rubble, resulting from work on the household waste building, now litter this small road, sometimes to the point of overflowing onto the roadway.
