When the last FCBP members leave the Escanaux pitch on Friday evening, the first players from the AS des anciens du football de Bagnols put on their boots. No training here, every Friday the twenty players from the Bagnolais club meet up to play matches against teams from the surrounding area.

24 matches organized per year

“This is not an official competition, explains Antoine Sellens, the president of the association and coach of the veterans. But everyone wants to win, that's for sure!"

Throughout the sports season, they meet veterans from the football clubs in the villages of Gard Rhodanien. "We organize 24 matches per year, explains Antoine Sellens. And for the past two years, we've been training at the Escanaux stadium, which is much better for us."
