Basketball: in Frontignan La Peyrade, a team, multi-age and the right to dream

Whether they are 15 or 48 years old, David Parsy's players have the same desire to go to the end.

The FLPB reserve plays the semi-final first leg of Regional 2, this Saturday, May 25 at home.

Multi-age is based on the principle that heterogeneity is an asset for a group and for the progress of each individual. Based on this postulate, at the FLPB a team of seniors is a perfect example.

While the flagship team of Frontignan-La Peyrade Basket will end its championship this Saturday, May 25 with the reception of its counterpart from Ossun, team 2 will extend its adventure. In the opening, this team coached by the stainless David Parsy will play the first leg of a semi-final of the regional championship, division 2, against the Gers club of Castéra-Verduzan.

An exceptional journey

It’s a special group that the veteran will have led until this half. Several generations make it up and, yet, it is the cohesion and this diversity of ages (from 15 to 48 years old) which make it strong. Like figures such as the pair Mathieu Armand and Florian Geniez who, not so long ago, made the happiness of the first team, the team does not lack in strength. ;rsquo;experience. After obtaining first place in the upper Mediterranean group, at the end of a breathtaking season (thirteen victories in a row) and a memorable match in Pérols to conclude, the team has despite everything, there is great potential for progression, especially with some young people in the making. She earned the right to pursue the regional title.

For David Parsy, this journey is a great human adventure: « We had a career-defining season. We also benefit from the support of the public. Antoine Autuori, for example, is our eleventh man. It would be good for everyone to go to the final. We will still have to be wary of these Gersois who also had an exceptional journey… hellip; »
