Basketball: something new and a meeting for Frontignan La Peyrade

Dennis Ona Embo had left his mark on his time at FLPB.

The season will resume on September 12. Before that, Roger-Arnaud will host a gala match.

The Muscat basketball club now knows its future opponents in the Prenational championship, in the Occitanie regional league. There will be twelve teams at the start and the format of the event has been profoundly modified compared to last season.

Instead of the two phases, initial and high, the championship will only have one and only the first will access the National 3. Stéphane Olivieri's men will meet the Védasiens of the OMMB, their executioners in the final of the Coupe de l'Hérault. Toulouges and Saint-Gély should also play the leading roles in a group that still promises to be open.

Two recruits

The championship will start on September 12 and end on May 2, 2025. In the meantime, the season is already being prepared, in the departure department we note that of Matthieu Chatefau. As for recruitment, the return of Alexander Bannerman from Rodez (N3) should bring in particular in the defensive sector and in speed.

Killian Olivieri will also be a muscatier next season. He comes from the Lyon region where he spent almost his entire young career. He arrives from the Lyonso club (N3), he is 26 years old, which with Alexander Bannerman's under-20s will undeniably rejuvenate the squad.

Old acquaintance

To keep you going before the season kicks off, a friendly match between Stade Toulousain and Avignon-Le Pontet is scheduled for August 23 at 7 p.m., at the Roger-Arnaud hall. To the great joy of the player and the supporters, this match will be the opportunity to see Dennis Ona Embo again in Frontignan.
