Le 14 juillet a vu un grand défilé dans la ville

The national holiday commemoration was held on Sunday July 14, with a parade from the town hall to Place Jean-Jaurès.

The procession was made up of the mayor Michel Arrouy, deputy Sylvain Carrière, a large part of the municipal council and representatives of fighters. The flag bearers led the way, in accordance with tradition.

After a Marseillaise, the newly re-elected deputy Sylvain Carrière spoke. "235 years ago, the people of Paris took the bastille in search of a fairer society. Freedom is not acquired and is nourished by our vigilance."

Mayor Michel Arrouy linked his speech to Jean Jaurès who gave his name to the place. Figure of social justice, according to him, "the only way to respond to the concerns of the moment."

The ceremony ended with some refreshments in front of the town hall.
