BMSTT: young teams dominating, seniors struggling

Les équipes jeunes du BMSTT ont sauvé le week-end du club.

Toutes les équipes du club Bagnols Marcoule Sabran tennis de table étaient engagées en compétition le week-end dernier. Les résultats sont mitigés.

Fortunately, there were the young people to keep the taste of the Bagnolais team victory last weekend. The beginners (Mathias Ablancourt, Maxime Bouchet and Valentin Caillat) pocketed a narrow victory against the Nîmes of Perrier (6 – 4) in the 3rd youth departmental division. The more experienced young people from Bagnolais (Xavier Marchand, Lenny Dehongher and Benjamin Hatton) in D1 largely dominate (9 – 1) Manduel with notably a "perf" of Xavier and Lenny on a higher ranked player and usually "bête noire" young people from Bagnolais.

In the senior matches, unfortunately it was not the same music, despite great combativeness from all the players from Bagnolais.

The first team logically suffered the law of Nîmes de Perrier (4 – 10) and will have to fight to stay in a very tough Regional 1 group.

No victory for the other senior teams

Team 2, despite an imperial Thomas Boucher (three victories) and the two doubles won, conceded a draw (7 – 7) against Salindres in R2. A point lost because victory was within reach. With a victory and a draw, the Bagnolais are undefeated and can calmly play the outsiders in the rest of the championship ? Team 3 concedes a narrow defeat (6 – 8) against Mende and will have to fight to stay in the echelon (Regional 4) to which she has just accessed. Team 4, beaten by Uchaud (5 – 9) in D2, will also have the objective of maintaining, with at least two victories necessary in the next five matches. Finally, team 5 lost to Bellegarde in D3 (6 – 8), with former Bagnolais Pascal Hoang as executioner, who won all his matches, doubles included.

The coming week, the leaders of the BMSTT will devote their energy to preparing the club lottery, a festive moment but also an essential tool to support the club's finances. This lottery will take place on Sunday, February 18 at 2 p.m., in the multicultural room.
