Wine of stars, what else ? At the initiative of the cooperative cellar of Vignerons de Correns (Var), an auction of exceptional wines will be held in Marseille on June 20, report our colleagues from Var Matin.

Among the bottles offered, it will be possible to treat yourself to a special Magnum from the vines of George Clooney, in Brignoles, a Methuselah of champagne from the Miraval estate owned by Brad Pitt, or even&nbsp ;three bottles of wine produced by "Skywalker Vineyards", from the Château Margüi estate owned by director George Lucas.

Profits donated to two associations

All profits from the sale will be donated to the Sustainable Villages and Peasant Solidarity associations. " Half will go to the sustainable village in the Democratic Republic of Congo to finance a training school. The other half is to help farmers in difficulty", explains Michaël Latz, former mayor of Correns, in the columns of our colleagues.

During the previous edition of this auction, in 2023, 15,000 euros were raised for the benefit of the cultural and ecological project in the DRC. This year, the event will be held at the bistronomic restaurant Les Jardins du Cloître.
