CASE. Social assistance for children, a system “out of steam”: a debate at Midi Libre to talk about it

A quarter of the homeless in France come from child welfare. An observation which says a lot about the difficulties encountered by these young people but also by institutions faced with an increasing number of requests. Associations and communities are warning but the problems persist. Lack of places, violence, exhausted staff and difficult to recruit, decisions not implemented: "the system is running out of steam"&nbsp ;denounces Lyes Louffok, child rights activist. Last week, he organized a gathering in memory of the children who died during their placement. Currently in France, 3,300 children in danger are waiting for a place.
