Cévennes & Cars, in Alès: old people no longer want to see modern cars, even prestigious or sporty ones

Le prochain rassemblement de l’association se tient dans la matinée ce dimanche 3 mars. Et les organisateurs ont pris la décision de revenir aux origines de cet événement.

This Sunday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to noon, Cévennes & Cars, the traditional monthly meeting for collector car enthusiasts, is held on the fairgrounds on Avenue Jules-Guesde, in Alès. But this month, the organizers made the decision, "with regret", "to no longer accept modern cars, whether prestigious, sporty or not". As they mention on social networks, they had accepted, "punctually", the arrival of some modern cars, "to please a few". And to remember that this event is open to "vehicles aged 25 and over".

Why such a decision ? The association denounces the "inappropriate behavior" which have, "especially during the last"… The organizers are categorical: "The Sunday morning gathering is a calm and friendly moment. This is not the place to rev your engines or accelerate. The sustainability of the event is at stake."
