Chemical submission: link with Mazan, accusations against Joël Guerriau, dissolution… understand everything about Sandrine Josso’s appeal

The modem MP for Loire-Atlantique Sandrine Josso has requested that the government mission on chemical submission be relaunched. Aborted during the dissolution, this subject is dear to the elected official who herself accuses senator Joël Guerriau of having abused her.

A consequence of the dissolution that does not go unnoticed in the midst of the Mazan affair. Responsible for the government mission on chemical submission, interrupted in June, MP Sandrine Josso wants to put this subject back on the table in Parliament and will question Michel Barnier, reports RMC.

Government mission

After accusing Senator Joël Guerriau of having drugged her without her knowledge in order to abuse her, Sandrine Josso was responsible for the government mission on chemical submission. Accompanied by Senator Véronique Guillotin, she called on “the government to do something about this scourge”, quote Public Sénat.

Analysis of the scale of the phenomenon, prevention and information on the subject, round tables… the elected representatives had started working with Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and the Minister responsible for Equality between Women and Men Aurore Bergé, from the former government.

But the dissolution of the Assembly had led to the cessation of their work, just as had been the case with the bill on the end of life or on agricultural orientation. The government mission of the Loire-Atlantique MP was due to submit its report this October.

In the middle of the Mazan affair

Despite this, Sandrine Josso has not forgotten her spearhead. It must be said that in recent weeks, it has been difficult to ignore the notion of chemical submission. The trial in the Mazan case has opened and will last until December. At the heart of the case is the fact that the main accused, Dominique Pelicot, is suspected of having drugged his wife to organize dozens of rapes with other men.

The MP is also the patron of the association “M’endors pas. Stop chemical submission", created by the Pelicot couple's daughter, Caroline Darian.

And this extraordinary trial is the tree that hides the forest. In 2021, 727 suspicious reports of chemical submission were recorded, notes Public Sénat. 82 victims were deplored that year.

The deputy accuses a senator

At the origin of the affair, Sandrine Josso says she herself is concerned. She accuses Loire-Atlantique senator Joël Gerriau of drugging her with the aim of raping her.

He denies it. Google searches on the effects of GHB ? It was "for the friend of a relative", the senator claims. Sandrine Josso tested positive for ecstasy ? "A handling error", he defends to Ouest-France.

He was indicted and placed under judicial supervision. Heard by the Senate two weeks ago, he "agreed to step back from his duties". Because if he “contests the facts”, he wants to “preserve the serenity” of the upper house of Parliament.
