Citizen participation in the Montpellier municipal council, this Tuesday March 26

In addition to the vote on the initial budget, a participatory budget and a right of questioning should be approved, establishing greater involvement of citizens in municipal policy.

The initial budget, which determines the City's revenues and expenses, will be voted on this Tuesday, March 26, during the municipal council scheduled for 9 a.m. and which will include 104 points. We will therefore know the tax rates for direct taxes.

Reflecting the desire of citizens to be more involved in the life of the city, the participatory budget will make it possible to collect projects. Likewise, Montpellier residents will be able to propose a subject to the municipal council, through the « right of citizen questioning ».

Single-parent families will also be concerned, with the organization of stays reserved for them through an agreement signed with the 3MTKD association, and the creation of a reception center intended for them, thanks to the acquisition of the site of the former EHPAD « les Violettes ».
