“Claire Lapeyronie has a direction and has a positive project”, Carole Delga supports the mayor candidate of Pont-Saint-Esprit

Carole Delga apprécie la maire de Pont-Saint-Esprit, “une femme courageuse, qui a la niaque !” Midi Libre – GIACOMO ITALIANO

The president of the Occitanie Region Carole Delga supports the mayor of Pont-Saint-Esprit, candidate for re-election at the head of the Gard commune. Claire Lapeyronie is also a regional advisor in Carole Delga's majority. Spiripontans return to the polls on April 28 and May 5.

Why do you support Claire Lapeyronie ?

I got to know her: she is a committed elected official, who always defends the interests of her municipality, and has this desire to provide solutions to Spiripontaines. Claire is a sincere woman, a huge hard worker. With her team, she has a direction and carries a positive project.

Is your involvement in the campaign political?

Like every citizen, I look at actions, not speeches. Claire offers concrete solutions: together we reopened the line on the right bank of the Rhône which passes through Pont-Saint-Esprit. The Spiripontans had been waiting for it for 50 years. At the start of the school year, thanks to his investment and that of the director of the hospital center, we will be able to recruit doctors. She is renovating the swimming pool to teach children to swim and is also offering a farmers' market which will be a real plus for the region's farmers and wine growers.

What are the issues in this election?

Voting is choosing. With Claire, we know where we are going. With the extreme right, we don’t know. However, I would like to remind you that the extreme right never brings anything good. In the Region, they vote against the 1 euro train, against free computers for high school students, and vote against subsidies for social housing…

What would you say to the Spiripontains so that they vote for Claire Lapeyronie ?

That they have a good mayor. That this commitment as a local elected official is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It takes will and courage, there is no shortage of it. She’s a crazy woman.
