Consumer reminder: be careful of these batches of fish purchased in supermarkets which could be contaminated with listeria

Be careful if you have recently purchased fish in supermarkets: the government site RappelConso launched a recall procedure this Tuesday, February 6 concerning smoked haddock and sweet herring following the detection of listeria bacteria.
Sweet herring and haddock fillets
The sweet herring fillets, sold without any apparent brand, were marketed between January 23 and February 2, 2024 in vacuum trays in the Franprix, Coeur de frais, Carrefour contact, Super U, Marché brands Fresh, local flavors. The lots concerned are as follows: n°2097332, n°2097792, and n°2098344.
The other fish affected by this recall is the haddock fillet from the brand “Mon p'Pit Poissonnier", packaged in vacuum-packed trays and of varying weights. The pinned lots are as follows: n°2095022, n°2095409, n°2097565, n°2097791, and n°2098342. They were on sale in well-known brands such as Leclerc, Intermarché, Boucheries André, Franprix, Cœur de frais, Monoprix, Super U, and Secours populaire.
Health risks and reimbursement procedure
The exhaustive list of stores concerned here available on the RappelConso website, which indicates that "people who have consumed the "products" mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their attending physician, reporting this consumption, and reminds them that “serious forms” with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur.
If you have purchased one or more of these lots, do not consume them, and throw them away or return them to the point of sale. You can request a refund until February 19.
