Dangerous sleeping bags: Narbonne hospital asks families to destroy the sleeping bags offered in a welcome kit

The Regional Health Agency (ARS) noted a defect in the sleeping bags offered with the welcome bags " First 1,000 days. The Narbonne hospital center asks families to no longer use this product.

Since March 2022, as part of the child's first 1,000 days project, a new system has been put in place: the 1  bag ;nbsp;000 first days, a "baby box" French style given to parents during their stay in the maternity ward.

This welcome gift includes six everyday objects, details the website of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Solidarity. Essentials for the first months or even the first years: a sleeping bag, a bib, soap, moisturizing cream, a youth album and a bag for going for a walk.

Button fault

After the Nancy hospital a few weeks ago, it’s the turn of the Narbonne hospital center to report a defective turbulette.

"Following an alert from the ARS concerning a defect on certain sleeping bags offered with the first 1000 days welcome bags, the maternity hospital of the Hospital Center (of Narbonne) is asking all families who have been recipients of this bag, whose snap button on certain white sleeping bags presents a risk of detachment, no longer using this product, destroying it and informing any new owners as a precautionary measure", published the Narbonne hospital on its Facebook page a few days ago.

Vigilance

Parents who received this bag until October 2023 should be vigilant. If families have donated or sold this sleeping bag, they are asked to inform the new owners of the danger "as a precaution” , underlines the MagicMaman site.
