Days to discover all the art of an artisan watchmaker

David Gellibert in his workshop.

An exceptional event which aims to highlight the diversity of local traditional know-how, the European Crafts Days (Jema) allow each of us to discover the methods and motivations of professionals in the arts and crafts. During these meeting days, artisans open the doors of their workshops to share their passion. This event, which takes place every year in spring, runs until April 7 with the theme On your fingertips. In Nîmes, in the Active City, visitors can go to the workshop of David Gellibert, master craftsman in watchmaking, to observe behind the scenes of his work space but also the ancestral techniques he uses.< /p>

This will also be an opportunity to admire the restorations in progress carried out by this professional who embodies alliance and technology, offering an essential service in the preservation of the art of watchmaking through the ages. It is also an opportunity for art lovers, collectors or simply curious people to discover his profession through his explanations. This event is aimed at all audiences, particularly young people this year, and offers an enriching experience of the national watchmaking heritage.

David Gellibert opens his workshop to the public, 134 cours Jean-Monet, from Wednesday April 3 to Sunday April 7 inclusive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
