Climbing Everest in 1 Year

The documentary retraces the adventure of the 22-year-old YouTuber, followed by more than 20 million subscribers on social networks, and his challenge to climb Everest in one year, while he knew neither the techniques nor the codes of mountaineering.

In a trailer released at the end of August, he is seen climbing in snow and ice, but also struggling with fatigue and the weather. In a goodbye video to his fans at the beginning of April, viewed nearly 8 million times, Inoxtag announced that he would disconnect from all his networks while he made his ascent.

Challenge successful ?

Many media outlets have since speculated about the success of his challenge. At the end of May, his guide Mathis Dumas, whom he met through adventurer Nico Mathieux (500,000 subscribers on YouTube), posted a photo on Instagram taken alongside Inoxtag, wrapped up in a red jumpsuit under a tent.

“Back after 2 months of expedition to Everest. “We are both in good health”, he wrote, without confirming whether they had managed to reach the highest peak in the world (over 8,800 meters).
