DIRECT. MHB – Kiel: Montpellier will do everything to perpetuate its European odyssey against historic Kiel

Montpellier HB plays its quarter-final first leg of the Handball Champions League at the FDI Stadium, this Wednesday April 24 at 8:45 p.m. against THW Kiel.

H – 5' : the presentation of the teams takes place in a fiery atmosphere at the FDI Stadium. Montpellier will play in blue and Kiel in white. The match will be refereed by Lah Bojan and Sok David.

H – 10:Montpellier has already won the Handball Champions League twice (2003 and 20218), Kiel for its part has achieved this performance four times (2007, 2010, 2012 and 2020). This is the first time these two teams have met in the elimination phase of the competition.

H – 15' : the second leg of this quarter-final will take place at the Sparkassen-Arena in Kiel, on Thursday 2& ;nbsp;May at 6:45 p.m. It will be followed live on the Midi Libre website.

H – 30' : to reach the quarter-finals, Montpellier had to employ to bend the RK Zagreb in the previous round (27-27 in the first leg, 30-24 in the return). Kiel, for its part, was directly qualified for the quarter-finals having finished first in its group in the group stage.

H – 45' : for his last epic with Montpellier, Patrice Canayer does not want to forbid anything and does not pose " no limit" for this confrontation with Kiel. He will seek with his men to reach the final 4 of the Champions League for the second time under this formula after the success in 2018.
