The clubs of the Hérault Football District voted on Saturday morning, in Gignac, during the elective general assembly of the management committee, and renewed the list of outgoing candidate David Blattes at 67.05& nbsp;% of the votes, against the head of the Renewal list of Patrick Giovannoni, 32.95%. 115 clubs were present out of the 143 summoned and 15 represented, therefore 13 absent (60 votes), for a total of 1619.85 votes.

The presidents of the clubs of the Hérault football district voted for continuity, Saturday morning, during the elective general assembly, organized with the support of the Gignac club , at the Chai de la Gare. David Blattes, the outgoing candidate with the list "The club of 2030", was re-elected quite widely  with 67.05 % of the votes (1 058) against 32.95  ;nbsp;% (520) to the "Renouveau" list led by Patrick Giovannoni.

"Words not kept"

The end of several weeks of a campaign that was offensive to say the least, until the presentation speeches this Saturday morning, when the two heads of the list had 2’30 chrono’ nbsp;to present their project. David Blattes detailed his program in three parts: educational, associative, sporting, while addressing the assembly: "I have confidence in you, in this project, in our team". Patrick Giovannoni developed an attack speech towards the team in place. But the "on one side" (they hurt) and "we on the other" (we will do otherwise), did not convince. The president of the Phoenix club thought he had 60 to 70 percent of the votes before this morning. They turned against him. "I don't know how you did it, hats off!" he said, surprised, after being greeted by David Blattes, but fair play. "People told us yes and showed that they had no say" (reaction below).

Cups and medals

In the wake of this election, the assembly resumed a more usual course with the traditional presentation of medals and plaques of honor, gold and silver, to the volunteers of the District, as well as the cups to the titled teams in their championship, with the reading of the winners of the season of cups and challenges.

Reactions

David Blattes, re-elected: "It was a trying campaign, yes, where we received blows, we didn't respond. We played for clubs, for football. Continuity works, because our project goes in the direction of the clubs, just for the clubs, with healthy management. I had confidence even though there is always the adrenaline, the stress of an election where nothing is ever decided. I respect the opponent so there is always this stress but the victory is clear and clear.

Patrick Giovannoni, head of the Renewal list:"The lesson is that when I arrived this morning (Saturday June 22), I must have had 62 % of people who had said yes to me. I don’t know what happened between Thursday and Friday, I was told that there had been a lot of calls from the other list, I would like to believe it, there must have been some on our part too. If the victory had been 51 to 49, I would have asked myself a few questions, their victory is magnificent. I told myself that if I won, I was going to manage people who had a word and if not, that meant that I was happy not to manage people who could say yes to you in front and smoke you from behind. In any case, I am very happy because as president of the District, I would have had to give up the presidency of my Phoenix club which did not make the people of my club too happy so I am going to reinvest in it. .. I congratulated the opposing team, I am very happy for them, it’s sincere. That's what I do in football, sometimes I think I'm going to win and I take five and shake hands. It's fair play.
