The second phase of sending energy checks began this Monday, April 8, 2024. They are valid until March 31 of the following year to pay gas bills or electricity.

The energy check is sent automatically to all those who are entitled to it, without any prior action. For those who wish to know if they are eligible for this aid, a simulator is available to them on the dedicated site: chequeenergie.gouv.fr

Shipping schedule to Occitanie

In Occitania, the first to receive the check were the beneficiaries of the departments of l’Ariège, l’Aude, Pyrénées Orientales, Tarn-et-Garonne and Gard, the week from April 2 to 5.

For this second phase starting this April 8 and until 12, the departments of la Lozère, Hautes-Pyrénées, Tarn, Hérault, Aveyron, Lot and Gers will receive their energy check by mail to their home.

The Haute-Garonne will only be distributed the week of April 22 to 25.

The time between sending energy checks and receiving them at home is generally between 2 to 4 days.

An average amount of 150 euros

Its amount is between 48 and 277 euros, for an average amount of 150 euros, and varies depending on the reference tax income of 2021, according to a very precise scale communicated by the Ministry of l&rsquo ;Economy and Finance.

With this check, it is possible to pay your energy expenses: electricity, natural gas, heat, domestic fuel oil. But also to pay for heating fuels (wood, biomass) linked to housing.

It also allows you to pay for certain work, particularly energy renovation work.
