Arrested in the morning of Sunday after an incident in a pub in Mallorca (Spain), the English third row Billy Vunipola, he is announced at the MHR next season, reacted via a press release on his club's social networks.

Billy Vunipola wanted to put out the fire started by the English press after his arrest, this Sunday, April 28, in the early morning, leaving a club in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) . Accused of having threatened customers and staff after a drunken evening, the future MHR player presented his version of the facts on the website of his Saracens club.

"I confirm having been involved in an unfortunate misunderstanding when leaving a club, writes the player of 31 years. […] Contrary to what was reported by the press, there was no violence or fight and I did not threaten anyone with a chair, a bottle or anything else. I was charged with resisting law enforcement and, after an express trial, I was ordered to pay a fine of 240 euros. The Spanish police investigations are now closed and I can return to Spain."

The player also states that he "will cooperate with Saracens in their internal process" at the&rsquo ;result of this affair. Also, he "apologizes for any inconvenience caused."

For the English third line the story therefore seems classified. It remains to be seen what his current club will decide after this eventful end of the night.
