Setting off on bikes at 9:15 a.m. last Tuesday, along the canal with the strength of their calves, the CM1 students from the Sainte-Thérèse school joined a group of cabaniers supported by representatives of Symbo, including Ludovic Cases, all delighted to transmit their passion for a mythical place, the cabin district. Insisting on its preservation, through its history, its fauna, its flora, its fishing and leisure activities, everyone put their heart into this meeting. "We have already come, specifies Marjorie Brunel, one of the two teachers. This is a discovery day that we will use in class. We are always very well received. The first time, we loaned bikes so that all the children could participate. Now, they all have one and some have recently learned how to do it, which shows their motivation!" From fishing for plaice, to visiting the teal farm and even learning pastel drawing, no less than five workshops were offered to students in front of a unique landscape. A day that can only exist thanks to the investment of the cabin keepers, the accompanying parents and the municipal police who secured the journey from the school to the statue of the Pascalet bull on the way there and back. After a meal from the bag, with memories full of memories, the children took the path in the opposite direction, certainly with a different outlook, perhaps looking for a turtle basking in the sun, or quite simply admiring the expanse of the marshes.
