Excellence, respect, determination… For her wishes to institutions, Sophie Béjean, rector of Occitanie, surfs on Olympism

La rectrice a présenté ce mardi ses vœux aux institutionnels. L'occasion de revenir sur 2023 et présenter 2024. 

Universities, higher education, research, justice, health, elected officials, associations… Rector Sophie Béjean will have wet the jersey at the start of the year on the occasion of the essential wishes. This time, it was aimed more particularly at institutions and partners, whose representatives came from all over Occitanie. The opportunity for her to look back on the year 2023 and present 2024.

2023 ? "A demanding, dense year", according to Sophie Bejean who notably recalled the twelve official visits from the highest level of the State, including, twice, those of the President of the Republic. Dense also by the reforms or the 221 projects supported and certified, representing more than 3M€ of investments and whose spin-offs will benefit our students, our schools, our establishments. 

For 2024, the rector spoke of "new challenges, new synergies", recalling, among other things,  that "our academy was among the five academies better accompanied" financially and that this would continue in 2024. Before finishing his speech by appropriating the Olympic and Paralympic values: “excellence (for our students), respect (for our students, our teachers), determination ( in our actions), equality  (chances), inspiration and innovation, courage and friendships.
