Photos, sculptures, dessins et une pièce sur le grand critique de cinéma Serge Daney : voici quatre évènements à vivre à Montpellier du mercredi 17 au dimanche 21 janvier.

La Loi du marcheur

After presenting a solo adaptation of Bernhard last week, Nicolas Bouchaud returns alone on stage to take on the figure of Serge Daney, the famous film critic. The starting point is the filmed interview Itinerary of a cinema-son, carried out by Régis Debray, a few days before Daney's death in 1992, as a result of AIDS. A show about cultural, social and civic life enhanced with images from Rio Bravo.

Tuesday and Wednesday January 16 at 8 p.m., Thursday January 18 at 7 p.m. Theater of the 13 Winds, Domaine de Grammont, Montpellier. Full price: 24 euros.

The photo bar makes room for Information & Communication at the University of Paul Valéry who had to refine their view of photography through a commissioning exercise. They had to prepare a work around the theme «Racine», in the singular as well as in the plural, by presenting a series of six images, in black and white and in square format.

The Germaine Richier exhibition will have left its mark. Now time for another sculptor, also deceased: Toni Grand (1935-2005). Having attended the Montpellier School of Fine Arts, and close to the Supports/Surfaces movement, the sculptor has left a lasting mark on contemporary sculpture by inventing new forms and using new materials.
