Neuf médailles d'or, quatre en argent et deux en bronze ont été obtenues par des apiculteurs du pays des sources.

The competition organized by the National Union of French Apiculture (Unaf) took place at the beginning of February, in Paris, at the Palais d'Inéa. Following a good year for honey harvests, many beekeepers have decided to participate in the 2023 French honey competitions. Chaired by Fabrice Prochasson, chef of French gastronomy, accompanied by experienced professional beekeepers as well as specialists of taste and the best workers in France, journalists had to analyze no less than 318 honeys, 29 gingerbreads, 27 nougats and 29 meads. Two hundred and fifty jurors were present to decide between all of its quality products, all previously analyzed by a laboratory, in order to verify their conformity.

In this difficult period for beekeepers, who have difficulty selling their honey and, therefore, making a living from their profession, out of the 106 rewarded honeys, 15 Lozerian honeys obtained a medal including 9 in gold, 4 in silver, 2 in bronze and one in bronze in the gingerbread category.
