Les Frontignanais se sont inclinés 2-1 ce samedi 10 février à Balma, en huitièmes de finale de la Coupe d’Occitanie.

Greg Tanagro made four changes from last week's draw. However, at the end of the meeting, it was frustration that dominated.

Certainly, Yolan Dalouze had stopped a penalty from the start, certainly the Balmanais were leading at the break but in the game, it was the Muscatiers who were the most incisive.

Florian Moureaux's equalizer, a quarter of an hour before the final whistle, was not at all illogical as the visitors had put so much heart into breaking through the local wall.

Coming back wasn’t enough

For coach Greg Tanagro, it's a bit like the usual scenario: « We have a worse move a quarter of an hour before the break, we take a pawn. After about fifteen attempts, we naturally equalize, that's precisely where the problem lies! Coming back was not enough. With such a quality team in front, we could have stayed on track ».

The Muscatiers will now focus on the championship. But before that, this Saturday evening, they will host Montpellier Cévennes (D4) on behalf of the Coupe de l’Hérault.
