For the casting of The Voice in Cap d’Agde: “Be yourself”

In search of new talent for the next season of The Voice, the show is making its annual tour with a stopover in Cap-d'Agde this Friday, August 2.

There were 150 of them, but only 25 are called by the show to participate in the castings in Cap d'Agde for the next season. This Friday, August 2, several Agathois will perform in front of Bruno Berberes, artistic and casting director of the show. “If I have only one piece of advice to give to candidates: be yourself. Obviously it has to be clean and fair, but I'm looking for singularity above all. Everyone has to find their difference”, warns Bruno Berberes, who is enthusiastic about discovering new voices.”“I'm not looking for a particular style of music. I expect people to fall in love with it. So it could be soul, R’n’B, rock… It doesn't matter, as long as the person can capture and distribute his energy."

A place for the first part of the concert

To convince the heart of Bruno Berberes, who also casts the children of The Voice Kids, the candidates will have three minutes, the time for a song of their choice. In the end, the jury will select only one to three singers who will have the opportunity to rock the Cap d'Agde arenas that same evening, for the first part of the concert of The Voice tour.

Although nothing guarantees their place on the Parisian recording sets, the favorites selected by Bruno Berberes will have a few more minutes to sing their song and warm up the stage before the arrival of the artists of The Voice tour.

“Dans le Sud, on aime chanter”

It will then be a show lasting more than two hours, where 11 former candidates from the show will cover popular classics of French and international variety. Among the artists present this Friday evening, the Capagathois public will find Baptiste Sartoria, finalist of the 2024 season, Olympe, finalist of the second season or even Dominique Magloire and his soul, semi-finalist in 2012 during the first season of The Voice. The singers of the show will be accompanied by four musicians, three of whom also perform during the recordings of the program.

This is a first for Cap d’Agde to host The Voice tour, and the casting director is delighted with this date in the region.  "It’s always a pleasure to come to the South. Here, we like to sing, we like to party. So we often have great singers around. I can’t wait to hear them! Afterwards, it will be a great evening with all the artists present."
